DC United Home Opener

DC United kicked off their season away in Carson CA against LA Galaxy. Unfortunately, they did not win, but tied 2-2. Then they opened their first home game against Chicago Fire and they also tied 1-1. But that's not bad considering that this is a rebuilding year for them.  That was only two games out of the whole season. In the preseason they only won 2 games out of three. However for the Carolina Challenge Cup, they went 1-2. So it looks like it's going to be a hard season upcoming. Like I mentioned in the last post that they had made changes to their roster and now that I look at their last game I am surprised that Ben Olson was as good as people guessed

Ravens Trading

The NFL is now officially finished their football season and are now trading and players are deciding if they want to finally retire. For one team, the Baltimore Ravens are losing at least one of their valuable players, Matt Stover, who has been with the Ravens ever since they won the super bowl in 2001. He has made a great impact on the Ravens and fans are sad to see him go. Last season was his worst season ever and it looked like this would probably be the best time for him to retire. Ray Lewis' contract was also up after the 2009 Super Bowl and people started to think he would leave and go to the Cowboys or the Giants, but now it looks like he might re-sign with the Ravens. Most likely, that would probably be the smartest move to stay with the Ravens. But over-all the Ravens still have Joe Flacco And John Harbaugh. So the Ravens look like the have a pretty good season ahead of them and they have 26 draft pick this year so all things for the Ravens are looking pretty good.

DC United Roster

DC United is getting ready for the 2009 season and are ready to come back as champs. Last year was mostly a big flunk but this year they hope to change things. They have made a good deal of changes to the roster. Here is the new one. They have made some good changes to their lineup and it looks like they have a great season ahead of them. One reason is because Ben Olsen is not hurt anymore which means they now have a strong midfield. Also, Fred had the chance of a lifetime to play on the USA national soccer team and most likely learned a lot from that.

Batimore Blast Friday night game

The Baltimore Blast Won against Rockford Rampage 9-4 and though it may seem like a big win it is really not. One reason is because they are capable of a lot more. They were making big mistakes they should already have mastered.  At one point of the game they even made an own goal.  They passing was sloppy and half the time you could not tell if they were putting a curve on the ball or if it was just a bad pass. All of the players just did not seem like they were on thier game. Denison Cabral even seemed not to be on his game. Over all the game went pretty well and the Blast played well but there is a lot they have to work on if they want to stay champs.

Denison Cabral

I just recently did a short interveiw with Denison Cabral of the Baltimore Blast. He has been by far one of the most effective players on the team. here is the following interview I did with him:

1. What do you do to get focused before a game?
DENISON: from the minute that I get up in the morning the game is on. I start playing this video in my head with some nice plays, goals, and even creating some situations that may be happenning during the game. I try to think about our game plan and always remember the fact that I am VERY fortunate to play soccer professionally living a dream.

2. What do you think was the best Baltimore Blast Experience that ever happened while you were on the team?
DENISON: Winning the championship at home in front of our own crow vs. Milwaukee.

3. What do you spend your time doing off the soccer field?
DENISON: coaching, travelling and enjoying my family.

4. When you were growing up what soccer team did you want to play for if any?
DENISON: flamengo (rio de janeiro, Brazil)

Ray Lewis Leaving?

Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens contract is finely up. He has been one of the best linebackers in the NFL. He helped lead the Ravens to the 2000 Superbowl and has been with them since. Most people think he will stay with the Ravens and others think he will go to the Cowboys or the Jets. NFL sports recruiters are starting to wonder if he is worth it because he is finally wearing down. As he has gotten older he has just not been able to make the plays he used to be able to. Also since he is getting older people are begging to wonder when he is going to retire.

Blast Season Winding Down

The Baltimore Blast NISL is finally winding down to a close, with 5 more games left in the season until playoffs. They have won all their game except one and tied one. They have been playing outstandingly and look like they can go all the way to win the dynasty championship again. Some people think that they are doing so well because they are in a new league. Most likely it would be easy for them to win the championship again because they are a team with lots of history and half the other teams in the league are rookie teams.

2009 Superbowl XLII

The NFL SUPER BOWL ONLY COMES ONCE A YEAR!!!!!!!!

NFL SUPER BOWLS ONLY COME ONCE A YEAR AND IT'S COMING UP!!!! EVERY NFL TEAM HAS WORKED HARD FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR TRYING TO GO ALL THE WAY AND WIN!!!! SUPER BOWL XLII IS ON FEBUARY 1 6PM EST IN TAMPABAY!!!

NFL Playoff Preview

The NFL Playoffs have finally started fans are all ready and wait to see who will go to the Super  Bowl. Many people believe that the Pittsburgh Steelers will go all the way and win for the AFC and for the NFC people believe that the Philadelphia will go all the way. The following is a link of the 2009 NFL playoff schedule: NFL Playoff Schedule.  This year there is not really any AFC Or NFC teams that stand out. In the first half of the season the Tennessee Titans went undefeated but now they kind of   evened out. The Pittsburgh Steelers looked like the could go all the way but now a turn of events with Big Ben(Ben Rotherburger) having a concussion in the last game of the season.  He did end up playing against the Chargers. So now for the AFC Championships it will be the Steelers against the Ravens and for the NFC it is the Eagles against the Cardinals.

Blast Won Opening Night

The Baltimore Blast won opening night over Rockford Rampage with a score of 14-3. They completely dominained the whole first half. It was back and forth in the first half and in the third quarter too. In the fourth quarter Rockford dominated and were able to score 4 points. Denison Cabral had a hat trick (which is three goals). They were playing against former Blast goalie Sanaldo who let in 14 points over all. All the goals that were made were 2 pointers. Suprisingly enough when they went to play in Rockford they tied 0-0. With that being said it is still the begining of the season wich means winning one game may and my not mean a whole lot. But so far it looks like the have a good line up. They have also added three new players to the team.  Sagu the blast MILS golie of the year held of rockford  scorless for 53:26 minutes of the game.

Crew Shooting to the Top

The Columbus Crew of Ohio won the MLS Cup with a score of 3-1 against New York. Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored the winning goal. He is the MVP of the Crew and also MLS. He scored the winning goal for them by out jumping the goalie and headed it in. He could not have done if Alejandro Mereno did not give that great cross. The Crew was definitely the favored team for that match, they were almost expect to win that game.

Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens look like they got themselves in the playoffs if not the wild card. Their defence is look like they have finally clicked. For the offence they are doing just as well as the defence with Joe Flacco being their starting QB he has really led them very far. Todd Heap has stepped up and is being used a lot more now. Cam Cameron taking full charge of the Ravens offence he has done very well. John Harbaugh for a rookie coach he has done a great job. I think he should be putting Troy Smith in little bit more. Derick Mason is hurt with a shoulder injury and no one is sure if he will be playing or not against the Giants. If he is not than the offence is going to pick up his slack. Over all the Ravens are very well all things considered, the only thing they might need to change is fumbles the fumble like crazy.

Mighty Titans

All eyes are on the Tennessee Titans as they went 7-0, winning over the Colts 31-21. They are the only undefeated team in the NFL, with a 9-0 record over Chicago winning 21-14(November 9 Week 10). With T.Collins taking place for V.Young, they are doing good all thing considered.

The Ravens Not doing so well

The Baltimore Ravens are slowly fading away from the any chances of the Super bowl. Yesterday Sunday September 12 the Ravens lost 31-3. Walking away with a 2-3 record. Joe Flacco with 3 thown interceptions and 3 sacks. Ray Lewis and his defence were juts not having a good day some of that may be because R.Lewis had a knee injury the past week. Ray Lewis is 33 and is getting kind of old for the NFL, But he still says "My best football is yet to come." He singed on with the Ravens in 1996. The Ravens are trying very hard to lift the the super bowl trophy again just like in 2002. The last 3 games the Ravens have just not been able to put them self's together for a win. They are a very good team with some good players it just that it may take a couple years to get all the rookies adjusted. The Ravens will try to go for a 3-3 record next week in Miami Sunday October 9.

The Ravens

Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are a football team in the NFL. They are 2-1 with a loss in Pittsburgh. With their new rookie, Joe Flacco, having to pick up the pace he looks good all things considered. In the preseason they did not look to good. But on the season opener the Ravens took a step above what everyone expected.

DC United

D.C United

D.C is a soccer team in the MLS (Major League Soccer) of Washington DC. They won the U.S Open Cup. They are a very good team. They play 11V11. They have some very good players such as J.Moreno, Fred and B.Olsen. Their home field is in Washington D.C at RKF stadium.

Baltimore Blast

Baltimore Blast

The Baltimore Blast are the 2007-2008 MILS Dynasty champions. I think that last year they had a very strong team. They had Sagu in the goal who was named the MILS Goalie of the year. For the 2008-2009 Season they will be in the NISl rather than in the MILS.( If you do not understand what I said about the NISL read the following): The National Indoor Soccer League, the newest incarnation of indoor soccer in North America, has been created and will begin the 2008-09 season in mid-November. The NISL was formed after the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) dissolved in May and includes four former MISL teams. The NISL will operate under a reformed business model that transitions away from the MISL’s single-entity structure and provides greater efficiencies that will allow for long-term growth and expansion of the sport. I think the Blast have another chance of winning the title again with their starting line up as long as no one gets badly hurt. There is one thing they could work on is less passing and doing moves when they can just take a shot.
